Experience The War Bird Collection

This is a 1/72 scale model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I Aircraft, number 48 in Tamiya's war bird collection. Tamiya's war bird collection offers a window into the world of historical aviation with their true to life masterpieces. These kits are very user friendly and a great intro for beginners.

The Supermarine Spitfire is regarded by many as the most esthetically designed single seat fighter to appear during the Second World War. It was conceived by the brilliant British designer Reginald J. Mitchell, and first flew on 5 March 1936.

It was an advanced, low wing single seat monoplane with a very smooth flush riveted metal skin and a long flowing front cowling.

Ready to assemble precision model kit (requires glue). Optional paint & modeling glue is not included.
