Model Steam Engine (Type D18)
With Additional Generator & Street Light
In terms of color, this model variant represents an absolute novelty: the water-blue base plate was combined with a black boiler casing and silver-colored aggregate plate. The flywheel is painted black.
The technique of this machine reflects a combination of the steam engine types D20 and D16, which were supplemented by some technical refinements.
The highly polished, nickel-plated brass kettle has a capacity of 530 cc and is equipped with a new small gauge (26 mm diameter) and a nickel-plated gauge base. The condensate is discharged into a container - hidden behind the boiler house. This smokes the chimney true to nature.
The aggregate plate was extended by a dynamo, which supplies the lantern at the rear, between the boiler and the unit. The lantern is modeled after the industrial lights at the turn of the century and irradiates the flywheel during operation.
Like all Wilesco steam engine models, this model stands out for its outstanding workmanship. The steam engine fascinates children and adults alike and is ideal as a gift for technology enthusiasts.
